Plex Portainer going Unhealthy

What Operating System?

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

What is the problem?

My Plex container randomly goes “Unhealthy” after a few days and requires a full restart of the host to get Plex to start again.

What did you already try to solve it?

I already have the AutoHeal docker but I guess sometimes it’s not able to restart the container into a healthy status.

Complete Logs

Logs help us with troubleshoting.

Should I attach the FULL Plex logs or just the Portainer one?

Additional information

Anything else that helps us assess the situation like screenshots. As much data as possible

A full reboot of the server will fix the issue for 3-4 days.

Yes please attach the logs so we can get a better picture of what going on.

Same here.
What logs would you need?
Container oder Plex itself?

Would be docker logs i would assume.
From previously seeing this, it generally happens when a corrupt file is loaded up, killing plex.

I know it’s not a solve but I’ve had this issue with Plex before. I have a script that you can use via cron to check if Plex is unhealthy, it will restart the container automatically. I’ve also incorporated a Pushbullet notification.

If you want to use Pushbullet, you need to download my pushbullet.sh file and add your own Pushbullet API Key. You’re also going to need to change the location of the scripts in the bash file.

You can also use

docker pull willfarrell/autoheal
